Chris Rumsey potter

Southwell, Nottinghamshire

I make handmade ceramic lamps. They are not traditional lamps with a base and shade, but pottery vessels with holes that contains a light fitting or t-light.

The holes allow light to spill out from the lamp and fall onto the surfaces around it. The position of the lamp alters the way light falls onto walls and ceilings. The effect can create a really magical atmosphere in any room.

You won't find anything similar in the high street and no two lamps I make are ever the same. If you would like to see my work and find out more about how my lamps are made, please contact me. There is no obligation to buy.
