Southwell,
Nottinghamshire I produce mostly electric lamps. They are not lamps in the
traditional form, but are vessels that emit ambient light through holes in
the body. Each lamp has two states: the unlit which can be appreciated for
its form and glaze and the lit state where light spills out producing small
circles of light around the form itself. The base of each lamp is made in a plaster press mould. I then
coil from the base to produce a fully enclosed vessel. The vessel is then cut
open to allow for a lid and the holes to emit light:

built during a workshop held by the Anglian
Potters. A group of friends from
Newark College Wednesday Pottery Class held a Raku Party to christen the kiln. Click here for pictures. Autumn 2010 – converted the garage into a pottery studio – which
