| September 2021 | Received and installed Pro Generation 2 Swych bike conversion kit (cost approximately £600) |
| 1 monthlater | 1st hardware fault - connectivity issue, needing a replacement part |
| 5 monthslater | 2nd hardware fault - cannot remove power pack to charge battery, needing a replacement part |
| Following this second fault I questioned the reliability of the kit with Swytch and asked what I was supposed to do if I had further faults outside the 12 month warranty period. They said they could not extend the warranty but would do their best to support me outside the warranty period. | |
| 13 monthslater | 3rd hardware fault - connectivity issue, needing a replacement part |
| 25 monthslater | 4th hardware fault - no power to the motor needing a replacement part. Swytch diagnosed I needed controller was faulty. Controller is now discontinued by Swytch. Swytch's proposed 'solution' was to for me to upgrade to the latest battery pack. |
| I don't have faith in Swytch anymore. I have been sold a kit which has had 4 hardware faults. Why would they expect me to want to spend more money with them after my experience? |
